Elizabeth 'Bette Jo' Schick`s visitation
Elizabeth “Bette Jo” Schick of Aberdeen, SD, passed peacefully on Friday April 19, 2019 at Avera St Luke’s hospital with her loving husband of 71 years by her side. Visitation will be from 3:00 – 6pm followed by prayer service and sharing, on Thursday April 25 at Spitzer Miller Funeral Home Aberdeen. Family will arrive at 4:30pm.Funeral services will be held at 1pm Friday April 26, at Aberdeen First Assembly of God Church, located at 1424 24th Avenue Northwest, Aberdeen, with Pastor Gary Wileman officiating. A celebration of Bette’s life with refreshments and dessert will follow service. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens.Bette was born a twin on January 28, 1924 in Faribault, MN to John and Elizabeth (Haviland) Schuller. Her life was full of happiness with her 8 siblings as he grew up and attended school in Faribault. Following her high school graduation in 1943, Bette attended Minnesota Business College and worked for an insurance company in Minneapolis, MN. On October 11, 1947 Bette married the love of her life, Milbert Schick, in Faribault, MN. Bette and Milbert made their home in Aberdeen, SD where she kept herself pleasantly busy raising their five beautiful children.Bette was very proud of her family and loved every moment spent with each of them. Bette loved being an American where she was free to serve her Lord and Savior. Her greatest passion was for her Savior and her deepest desire was for everyone to know Jesus as their best friend.Grateful for having shared her life are her loving husband of over 71 years, Milbert Schick, Aberdeen, SD, five children; Charles (Ann) Schick, Aravada, CO, Paula (Stephen) Pippert, Toronto, Canada, Thomas (Lynette) Schick, Arvada, CO, Lisa (Robert) Ackerly, Anthem, AZ, Melinda (Rob) Robins, Granite Bay, CA, thirteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and one sister, JoAnn Heuer, Rosemont, MN.Preceding her in death are her parents, four brothers and three sisters.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Aberdeen Christian Schools, www.aberdeenchristianschool.com
